On Tuesday, 7th February Oakham Over 60's Walking Football team faced Chesterfield Spireites and Matlock Arc in a thrilling final day of the season.

After a tense 1-1 draw against Chesterfield, everything rested on the last game against Matlock. The winner would take the spoils. Oakham pulled out all the stops and emerged as 3-1 winners over a very strong Matlock side. Tony Benton, pictured on the far left, netted two goals against Matlock and another against Chesterfield. Dave Guest, second from the right in the back row, also scored.
